Why do I need a Will?

  • Everything could go to their new spouse and leave your children with nothing.

  • They could be left with nothing

  • They could be taken into care.

  • You could end up giving the government 40%.

  • Your pets are part of your family — and it’s important to make sure they’re cared for if something happens to you.

As professional will writers, we can help you include clear instructions in your will to ensure your pets are looked after by someone you trust.

    Here's how we can help:

    • Name a specific person to take care of your pet

    • Include backup options in case your first choice can’t take them

    • Add a financial gift to help cover the cost of food, vet bills, and ongoing care

    • Include a charity as a fallback option if needed (many animal charities offer pet care schemes)

  • Protecting Vulnerable Loved Ones with a Will

If you have a loved one with a disability or who relies on means-tested benefits, leaving them a direct inheritance could unintentionally put their support at risk.

As experienced will writers, we can help you set up a Vulnerable Person’s Trust in your will to:

    • Ensure they continue receiving means-tested benefits

    • Appoint trusted people to manage the inheritance on their behalf

    • Provide long-term financial support in a controlled, protected way

    • Give you peace of mind that they’ll be cared for without legal complications

We’ll guide you through the process and make sure everything is tailored to your family’s needs.

  • If you don’t have a will, the government decides who gets your estate under what’s called intestacy rules — and it might not go where you’d expect.

    • Around 65–70% of UK adults haven’t made a will

    • Around 40–45% of people die without one in place
